What is it?
AdGuardHome is a DNS level ad-blocker, which blocks adds on all devices, which use it as an up-stream DNS server.
How and why I use it
I utilize AdGuard not only as an ad-block, but also to resolve local DNS. Combined with a domain, wildcard Let’s Encrypt certificate and Caddy, I can point my devices to locally hosted services without them being accessible from outside.
I want to run two separate instances, which will synchronise their block lists and locally resolved addresses.
Todo
Add second instance and setup sync. Find out how multiple DNS per device works.
Basic setup
AdGuard in my setup runs as an LXC container. This can be easily setup with this script.
After installation, just open the http://adguardIP:3000
and choose your filter lists.
