What is it?

Hyprland is a tilling Window Manager (or WM for short). It takes the app windows and organises them on the screen. There is no desktop, so you need to use software like Rofi to start apps. It supports multiple workspaces, and has reasonably simple configuration.

You can also use different themes. I am yet to choose a single one I like and want to use everywhere.

My config is part of my Dotfiles.

Relevant apps

I use some other apps to form a “desktop” environment I like. These include:

  • hyprland-per-window-layout - each app uses a different keyboard layout
  • Rofi - to run apps
  • Waybar - as a status bar with custom config
